The Villas at Vintage Oaks' Bridge Ladies Continue For Almost Four Years
If you ever try to call a Vintage Oaks resident on a Friday afternoon, more than likely, you won't get an answer. Drive up to The Villas at Vintage Oaks Clubhouse, however, and you will find half of the residents playing bridge. This group of ladies plays bridge every Friday afternoon, come rain or shine and has for almost 4 years. They start at 1pm and will play until 4 or 5pm. Talk about devotion!
There is a lot of conversation, discussion of the worlds problems, laughter, support system for each other and sisterhood, all rolled into one afternoon. These neighbors are more than neighbors, they are like family to each other. There is nothing better in the world than to know that everywhere around you, you have someone you can rely on right next door. Yet, they are always willing to bring other friends into the group, too. Friday's are such a treat for me, the director, to sit and watch and learn from such wonderful women, who have stories, experiences and direction for younger women to learn from. I am truly blessed to have all these ladies in my life. I hope you all have someone in your life that you can take their experiences and stories and apply or learn something from. We all have so much to gain if we would just stop and listen. I pray you have a wonderful weekend.
God Bless,
Beth Brand
