Every June, we try to think of a special way to bless our male residents in honor of Father's Day.  This June we invited all our men at Vintage Gardens Assisted Living North to board our vans for a trip to the National Military Heritage Museum in downtown, St. Joseph.  Our men were amazed at the numerous exhibits the museum had on display.  They saw photos of all the wars dating back to WWI.  Most of our residents saw guns they shot, uniforms they wore, helicopters they flew in, and other items they used while in the armed forces.  Memories were shared with each other as they reminisced over the numerous military displays.  The men thought the museum was awesome and were appreciative of the time they had to get better acquainted with one another.  On the way home the guys were also treated to Dairy Queen.  That was a refreshing way to end a wonderful afternoon!

God Bless You with a happy and safe July 4th weekend!
