Vintage Gardens Assisted Living Residents Have Fun Snapping Beans and Shucking Corn
Vintage Gardens North is extremely blessed to have resident's families bringing in fresh fruits and vegetables for our residents to enjoy. We get an amazing variety including: tomatoes, peaches, cucumbers, sweet corn, green beans, watermelon, and delicious blackberries. In the fall, we also receive apples. Recently, our residents had a great time preparing some vegetables by shucking the ears of sweet corn and snapping fresh green beans. This activity certainly generated much discussion of times gone by when they were doing the same task to prepare meals for their families. And, just like then, they enjoyed eating the fruits, or in this case vegetables, of their labors! This made the corn and beans taste even better!
Have a wonderful week and God Bless You.
