Vintage Gardens Resident Bob Powell Enjoys Flight in WWII Biplane
Recently, one of our residents was invited by Ageless Aviation Dream Flights to fly in a World War II biplane. Ageless Aviation offers veterans this unique opportunity, and Vintage Gardens North resident, Bob Powell, did not hesitate to accept their offer. Having been a pilot in WWII, Bob was very familiar with this aircraft and excited about the trip. It was a beautiful morning at Rosecrans Memorial Airport when Bob took off in the bright red biplane, and landed about 12 minutes later, with residents and staff joyfully watching. It was a spectacular sight! This was an amazing experience that none of us will forget, especially Bob, who couldn't quit smiling! At 90 years of age, he never thought he would fly in a biplane again!
Have a wonderful weekend and God Bless You.
