testGood day,

We all know that consistently getting a good night's sleep is a key to healthy aging. However, as you age, a variety of reasons can make a fitful night more of a dream than a reality.

Here are three "natural" ways to get a better night's sleep:

1. Wrist acupressure - place the fingers of one hand on the wrist of the other as if taking the pulse. Press the inside of the wrist while counting 180 seconds (three minutes). Experiment with this several nights, as sometimes this works better on one wrist than another. Often sleep will come suddenly afterward.

2. Use of tryptophan (now back on the market), or even 5-HTP, another supplement which is the next step in tryptophan metabolism, or the hormone melatonin, an hour before bedtime.

3. Take a hot shower or bath before going to bed. When getting into a tub of hot water, the body attempts to lower the body temperature inducing natural sleepiness.

Good night,

test
