"Snappin" Beans and "Shuckin" Corn at Vintage Gardens on the Vintage Senior Living campus
Hello Everyone,
It has become a tradition and a sure sign that summer is here as residents gather together to snap green beans and shuck sweet corn donated from family members gardens. Vintage Gardens South residents Perry Franklin and Vera Wells relished the opportunity to do this saying it took them back to when they had their own gardens on the farm. Today everyone got connected while dining on Iowa pork chops, fresh green beans with new potatoes, and ice cream for dessert. We look forward to more home grown fruit and vegetables and more delicious meals as the summer goes on.
