senior safety tipsHi Everyone,

Jenny Hugger, the Executive Director of Vintage Home Health, wanted me to pass on these three fire prevention tips. If you have an aging parent living alone, make sure and do these frequently:

  1. Check that outlets aren't overloaded.
  2. Discourage the use of candles.
  3. Encourage use of whistling tea kettles and food timers that remind your parent that the stove is on.

As the old saying goes, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." In this case, it could save your parent's life.

God bless you,
