Cabbage RollWith the weather being so hot, many residents don't even like to leave their homes, but this week, we beat the heat by touring St. Joseph from inside the van. Many of our residents don't care to drive in a lot of traffic, so when they are out and about, they get done what they need to get done and go home; not really getting to see a whole lot of what is going on around town. We scheduled a wonderful drive to see areas that the residents typically don't get to see. Driving down St. Joe Avenue, Krug Park, down town, by their old schools, and a variety of other places, the residents got to enjoy a view that they can't when driving by themselves. The stories about different places and memories of fun kept us all in stitches for a couple of hours. All the driving and laughing got our stomachs working and we all decided to do an "unscheduled" lunch out at The Cabbage Roll, a nice German restaraunt, along the path. So even though it was mighty hot out, we beat the heat by enjoying our view of St. Joseph in the luxury of an airconditioned van.

God Bless,

Beth
