AgeWell Tip #24: Get Up And Move
Hi everyone,
An extensive survey of 120,000 people recently found that persons who sit for long periods of time on a regular basis (like with a job) have a significantly increased chance of premature death. Exercise and good eating do NOT negate the effect of this in any significant way.
Take away: At least every hour during the day, if possible, get up and move. Some suggestions: Take a short walk, stand up and do some stretching, stand up to talk on the phone, etc. It may save your life!
Here's to your health,
